who we are
We’re a Cork-based social enterprise using art to drive positive change.
Artéteka Ltd is a small social enterprise based in Cork, Ireland.
We are a young organisation and we are a member of the Irish Social Enterprise Network.
Using art-based methodologies and old materials, our aim is to support young people to develop a sense of self, uncover their potential, acquire new skills and meet peers from across Europe.
To do that, we work with partner organisations in Ireland and Europe, and we actively involve our participants in shaping new project ideas.
What We Do
Creating Lasting Change Through Art, Education & Participation

Art-Based Skills Development

Upcycling & Sustainability Education
Eco-friendly, creative sessions that transform discarded materials into new possibilities while teaching sustainable habits and green practices.

Participatory Projects Locally
Community-led projects that bring people together to co-create, share experiences, and develop skills through inclusive and creative methodologies.

We had an amazing time at our social picnic & treasure hunt this week! ⛅
In true Irish fashion, we had sun and rain, but we didn`t let the weather stop us! Following the treasure hunt through the park reminded us to slow down, notice everything around us and enjoy immersing ourselves in nature. 🌼
We hope you enjoy these beautiful poems written by some of our group, inspired by the sounds of the fountain in the park. 💚
Watch this space for more free, fun events in future!

Another great week of sewing on the Garments project. ⭐
With the expert guidance of @joannasfeelingcrafty, we upcycled curtains and bedsheets into fully lined tote bags! 🪡
Well done to everyone for their hard work and making such amazing bags! We can`t wait to see what you achieve next week. 💗

We were so proud to have contributed to the Cork Community Education Providers Gathering that took place at Collin’s Barracks on April 30th.
As the 14th of its kind, Cork education providers reunited to celebrate the innate creativity in the work we do. Throughout the day, we heard from community based artists, a range of exciting arts based initiatives and were even treated to live music and a performance.🥁🎭
The day was inspiring and witnessing such generous contributions from our speakers was a perfect reminder of the transformative power this sector holds.
Our team were thrilled to both MC the event and run a creative activity as part of our ongoing project, Laugh Labs. 💫
Last month, ArteTeka celebrated our first year anniversary since setting up in Cork City. 🎂
We feel very grateful to have been welcomed so warmly, not only to the Community Education and Engagement Committee but also the many local organisations and individuals who continue to collaborate with us.
Thank you all for making Cork City such a warm home for us ❤️

We have had an absolutely brilliant week of sewing! 🧵
The wonderful @joannasfeelingcrafty got us started on some basic sewing skills, and we started learning about sustainable fashion. 💚
We used fabric scraps to practice straight stitching, pivoting, backstitching and topstitching. Joanna then talked us through how to make a simple washcloth to test these skills!
Watch this space to see what we make next week... 👀

We were so lucky to have the sun on our side and such a wonderful group for this fun outing. Thank you to everyone who took part! ✨⭐
