Laugh Labs was an Erasmus+ project run by the Macedonian Association of Applied Psychology (North Macedonia), ArtéTeka (Ireland) and Idee in Movimento (Italy). The project looked at how humour can help people talk about mental health. Partners first carried out European research and published a report and an article on humour and mental health. They then set up three local Laugh Labs, with workshops using laughter yoga, games, drawing, quizzes and theatre. Around 600 adults took part, including older people, migrants, parents, teachers and community workers. All tools and resources are free on the Laugh Labs platform.
Our Laugh Labs’ free online platform gathers the project’s research, tools and workshop resources in one place, so anyone can bring humour into mental health work. You can visit the platform here: www.laughlabs.org
